In this role you will have the opportunity to join an early stage, highly funded biotechnology research company. The role will conduct research and development to engineer metabolism associated with the production of enzymes and other proteins, nucleic acids, and metabolites in a variety of platform hosts. This position will be hired at an Associate Research Scientist, Research Scientist or Senior Research Scientist level depending on experience.

What is required in this role:

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics  or a related discipline
  • Strong foundation in metabolic engineering and computational modeling 
    • Metabolomics
    • Flux balance analysis
    • Metabolic flux analysis
    • Metabolic modelling


  • Creative approaches to de novo pathway modeling and design utilizing metabolomic profiling data and/or pulse chase/labeling data
  • Extensive network modeling experience and a demonstrable history of applying unique and novel approaches to metabolic questions 
  • Knowledge and capability that goes beyond any specific software programs or platforms
